Welcome to the 6th Annual Butterfly Walk for CancerFree
KIDS. This event is not your average charity walk it’s a full day of fun and festivities for the whole family.
We are pleased to announce that we have included a 5K run again to start the day!
Registration: opens 8am Team Captains will have t-shirts
& wristbands at their team meeting points for all pre-registered team members. All otherparticipants should
come to the registration desk at this time to pick up your T-shirts and wristbands. Anyone who needs to register the
morning of the event can do so during this time, however T-Shirts are first come first serve. Come early and enjoy
the early morning entertainment.

Team
Assembly: Teams will be given a specific location on the field to assemble before the walk. Team
captains will be able to pick up the t-shirts and bracelets for their team on Thursday & Friday evening prior to
event day. Team members will then have the opportunity to meet your team captain at the designated team meeting location to get your t-shirt and avoid the check in
lines. Teams can compete for an exciting awards in the following categories: Largest Team, Top Fundraising and Best Team Spirit,. To learn more, go to the Team Information page.

5K Run: 9am Last year, marking
the milestone 5th year, The Butterfly Walk and Fun Festival introduced a 5K run at the start of the day.
This event was a success and will be returning again this year! This 3.1 mile run will start at Cottell Park, follow
a marked course in the surrounding neighborhoods and willbe chip timed. Click here for more details.

Survivor Ceremony & 5K Awards: 9:40am
The Top 3 runners, male & female in each age
category will receive a trophy. Following that, each pediatric cancer survivor will be invited up on stage
to receive their medal of courage.

Walk begins: 10am
The 6th annual Butterfly Walk for CancerFree KIDS starts with an easy one mile walk around Cottell
Park. The sight of 1500 people walking united against pediatric cancer is truly inspirational! The park and walk route are handicap accessible. Strollers and friendly pets
on a leash are always welcome.

Adopt a Tree:
Along the Walk you’ll notice many trees that have been decorated by local schools

FUN FESTIVAL: 10am-2pm The
Fun Festival kicks off with activities for the whole family. It’s an afternoon of celebration and it’s all included
with your registration and event day bracelet. Click Here to learn more about it.

Passports: Be sure participate in
the scavenger hunt and have your passport stamped throughout the day. Once filled, you can turn in it to get a special
treat!
Junior Jog: Children 12 and under can
participate in a 1/4 mile race on a paved path around the pond. Click here for more details.
